Default HID's + rainguards?

if i wanted to get HIDs for my foglights + replace my headlights with a blue set of HID's, what kind of bulbs would i need to get?

would yellow foglights look good? or do you think i should match the headlight and foglights to be the same color?

and are there any rainguards out there made for the GS? cause i've been looking and have had a hard time finding any

If you want them to be blue, you need to get 8000K D4S bulbs. I would get 6000K instead though. I have 8000K on my 2001 GS, it looked good at first but now I hate the color.

If im not mistaken, there are JDM rainguards, but they're expensive. You can find them here http://www.l-tunedparts.com

What year GS do you have ? I believe for the 06-07 you would need a 9006 HID kit. I think you should get the yellow HID fogs, you will see a lot more at night and it looks sweet. If you have the Blue HID's (6000-8000k) and Yellow HID fogs (3000k) it is a really nice combination...

As for the rain guards do you mean the mud guards ? Here is a link to a set of them...

Hope this helps, ...

For the fogs, do you need more light to see at night, or do you want to be seen in the fog when you drive, or is it simply a color/personal preference issue? If it's the latter two, you can skip out on the HIDs and simply get yellow bulbs.

Yellow bulbs would probably be better then retro-fitting in a set of HIDs. You gotta remember the stock fog light housing was designed to maximize halogens, not HID bulbs. Sometimes these cheap HID kits, the focal points are completely off which causes a lot of glare and so on.

I got 3000k HID fogs because I had the money and they were cheap. Looks fine on my car, I barely notice a difference other then its a little more yellow. The main lights are bright and they light up everything that needs to be seen. Fogs only light up whats close to the car, hence the name "fog light".

That and it would be much better for oncoming traffic to see you as well when you have yellow lights.

Personally I would pick 3k (yellow) HID over 6k/8k HID (blue), for its actual functionality (TO BE SEEN DURING THE FOG)!!!

Unless you are only changing it just for show, then more power to you!!!
