Wow really? The GS350 already gets phenomenal mileage compared to it's competitors. 303hp with 19 city and 27 hwy. I average about 25mpg mixed city driving on my GS.
In comparison, it gets better mileage numbers than the GS430 which has 2 extra cylinders and 13 less hp.
BTW, $4.19 is about the average price of Premium here in CA, what is it your way?

My GS350 is at 16,500 miles purchased new in August 2007. I travel alot up and down the state and I also work in the field during the week. I think I have a good idea of what gas prices are my way.

RIVERSIDE – The rising price of crude oil pushed the cost of a gallon of gasoline in the Inland Empire to a record high Friday, the Automobile Club of Southern California reported.
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is now $3.935 – 3 cents more than last week, 14 cents more than last month and 46 cents more than at this time last year.
This is the sixth time in the past seven weeks the average price has set a record.
“Oil industry analysts point to continued spikes in crude oil prices, which have enormously increased the cost of producing gasoline, as the cause of this continued price surge,” Auto Club spokesman Jeffrey Spring said.
The price of a barrel of light, sweet crude rose to a record $126.98 on the New York Mercantile Exchange Tuesday. The price closed at $126.02 Thursday.
The Auto Club provided this breakdown of gasoline prices in selected portions of California and Nevada as of today:
Area Regular One-week
Record Price change Riverside – San Bernardino
$ 3.935 + 3.0 cents $ 3.935 (5/15/08) Orange County
$ 3.886 + 1.3 cents $ 3.886 (5/15/08) Los Angeles – Long Beach $ 3.914 + 1.8 cents $ 3.914 (5/15/08) San Diego
$ 3.965 + 2.7 cents $ 3.965 (5/15/08) Santa Barbara – Santa Maria – Lompoc
$ 4.033 + 1.7 cents $ 4.044 (5/12/08) Bakersfield
$ 3.959 + 6.4 cents $ 3.959 (5/15/08) Las Vegas
$ 3.687 + 5.0 cents $ 3.687 (5/15/08)

There's always one station in town that has astronomically high gas prices in comparison to everyone else in the vicinity. Even your local sources cite prices close to ours...

Gasoline prices set record high for second month in Conn.
May 13, 2008
HARTFORD, Conn. - The AAA says that for the second month in a row, gasoline and diesel prices in Connecticut have set record highs and the state has the highest gas prices in the Northeast.
The automobile club says prices at the pumps for May have risen to $3.96 a gallon for regular gasoline. In April, they had set a record high of $3.48 a gallon.
A year ago the average price was $3.19 a gallon in Connecticut and $3.07 nationally.
The AAA says diesel in the state climbed from $4.37 last month to $4.64 in May. Nationally, diesel fuel has jumped from $4.12 last month to $4.39.
Connecticut leads eight Northeast states with the highest prices, followed by New York at $3.91.
Nationally, the average price went up in the past month, from $3.39 to $3.73 on Tuesday.
The automobile association surveys about 1,000 gas stations in Connecticut and nearly 100,000 across the country daily to determine average prices.
