PICS: 2007 vs. 2008 GS Differences
#31
$1,500 to $2,000 is money well spent??? I'll take an 07 and pocket the rest ANY DAY of the week. Those changes are not worth that much in and of themselves. True, the prices jump every year but that's a hefty jump.
I imagine GS sales will again disappoint this year.

^ More like $250. A fully loaded '07 GS350 rwd (ML/Nav, PA, etc) was 51,327 msrp and is now 51,590 msrp for a '08. Don't know where folks are coming up with a 1.5-2k price increase . . .

Flipside...wow!!! Now I can see why you are a "Lexus Connossieur". That is a great comp. for the '07 vs. '08. I would of never noticed alot of the subtle differences between the two...like the door handle for instance:-). I like/want the '08 mirrors, otherwise very content with my '07.
thanks again flip....

07 is also auto auto-dimming, power folding mirrors. They just added turn signal and chrome trim on it.

reason I got 07 in October was that I couldnt wait and got pretty decent discount on 08 which I wouldnt be able to get right now for 08.
Otherwise, I am always up for newer version.

What I get for taking a fellow member's word at face value. $250-500 is not bad at all. I'd pay $250-500 for lighted sills and side mirrors. Not to mention the aux port.

Do you guys realize how much these small changes would cost on a Mercedes or BMW? At least 2 grand or more. The lighted Lexus sill would be a $500 add-on alone. The auto-dimming side view mirrors? Another $500 minimum.
The cost of a new 2008 vs. a 2007 is only about $1500-$2,000 more. Money well spent in my opinion based on these upgrades. I do agree the extra chrome in the front was a down grade for 2008. The steering wheel seems just fine to me and I prefer the 2008 version (my opinion).
Overall more value for just a few dollars more (MSRP) than 2007. Nice job Lexus.

The cars that caught my eye was a Startfire w/Black interior w/NAV GS350 which was a dealer trade from Westminster and an already reserved GS460 Starfire w/Black interior Nav/ML. Whoever the lucky new owner is, i'm jealous of him/her.

Yep you're right. I was just at Longo tonight and wandered downstairs to the underground inventory and some with either 51.8 or 51.9 sticker. These were ML/NAV GS350s. I wasn't really paying too much attention to them because 2 other GS' caught my eye.

funny you should mention that car today, I just told them I won't be taking that car due to wrong options and higher price, guess 3 more weeks wait for me
the white gs460 had no illuminated door sills, which was kinda a deal breaker for me among other things
