Illuminated door sills

These illuminated door-sill protectors are made from heavy-gauge brushed stainless steel. They custom fit the contours of the door sills and offer protection from unsightly scuffs, dents and scratches that may occur while entering or exiting the vehicle. On the driver's and front passenger's door sills, a small, white LED bulb illuminates the Lexus logo whenever the door is open.

Before you buy, check out the 08 RX400 hybrid illuminated door sills. They are clear acrylic, laser etched and have a bad ass blue illumination.

Though the picture looks cool it doesn't really help visualizing the sills, and I'm pretty sure they will not fit the GS

i have to say the sills on the 08 gs are very bright, much brighter than the ones i saw on the rx loaners, etc... i was very surprised indeed. didn't know they are that expensive retail

too bad it's only the front, i wish the rears light up too..

They are different sizes. I have a GS and RX in the garage and they are both different. The door sill plates in the RX400h look really good. A camera cannot really capture the lighting characteristics of the RX sill plates.

Why only an option for thje GS & not for the LS from what I can see from the website ? I think I can get them to throw it in quite easily if available if I go for the LS460L ...

i have no freaking idea. i thought for 08 they would have it for the ls460 already. and i believe it is indeed an option in japan to have the illuminated sills.

check out the 08 gs, andrew, the sills are very bright
