"Importer / Supplier of kit in North America is Prestigious Society - www.prestigioussociety.com"

Don't see anything about it on that website...how much was it?

TIA

just shoot them an email at chung@prestigioussociety.com

i was the first one to import this unit so it's still too new for their homepage. i probably paid a lot more since i had to go through all the trouble to order ONE unit for my car. from other people it seems like it took about 3-4 weeks to arrive

Ditto what rominl said.... since we were early testers, we likely paid more to import just a single unit from overseas.... Chung at Prestigious will be able to quote a better figure once they see what the demand is like....

Just wondering, how can you have ML/DVD w/o Nav ? I thought if your car has ML it automatically includes DVD+Nav?

Hm, I wonder if this kit will be over $100. Because if you do the wire-cutting mod it's less than $30... (and that's including the $8.28 wire stripper/cutter w/ lock plus all the $6.97 extra 35-ft 18 AWG wire that I bought lol)

not for HI owners

100 bucks? i don't think it can be that cheap. this unit has a brain and all the plug and play wires and harnesses, and a nice button setup with led. i paid a lot more than that for sure, and even if the wire cutting mod is free i still wouldn't do it. i want to know i can still go for any warranty work when necessary

for quezacotl's question, this is obviously going to cost way more than a cut job but you have no warranty issues to worry about really. Or do you? Lets play the devils advocate.... would the dealer say "you are modifying the signal input to the nav system so warranty is void" I would like to ask the people who dont want to cut wires and use this instead, if something went wrong with the nav display down the road, would you take this out before taking the car in ??? I worry that if this unit malfunctions, perhaps it may make the nav goofy ??? things to consider....

30 mins to an hour top to put it in / take it out. what's the big deal. evidently the product is working fine on 3gs, 2is, and ls460 (all proven already), so if there is any other mulfunction on the nav / ML, just take everything out and walk into the dealership, simple. but if today i did the nav hack and 2 yrs later my nav goes whack? yeah, i would go whack...

Nidan, only CL sponsors can setup GB. something is in the work already for this already, please be patient. thanks

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that I would start a group buy, just wanted to know if someone was going to start one. My bad for not being specific. thanks for the info.

If it "happens", how do group buys get advertised? Do I continue to look in this thread, or do I have to follow a special "group buys" thread?

if a GB happens, it will be in the vendor forum.
