I agree the LED does look great, which is why I change the little light in the DRL with LED. Thought mine is the cheaper cheap kind..... think I paid like $14 for both. Again, just for look. Here it is comparing with the oem yellow bulb. And I think at this time I had the 5000K HID in my low beam.

I use my high beams as well that is why I didn't mess with high beam/drl bulbs. I have put the small 5k bulbs like you have done so when driving at night it looks better. What I have done with those high output LED bulbs is put them where the fog lights are. Then I have disabled the regular DRL and made my fogs to be DRL. Here are pictures during day time. Fog lights are always on whenever the lights are on or not.

Let me know if you're interested in posting up some pics =) I would be more than happy to get you a discounted price on a set of 30W H11 5000k LED fogs. Actually, do you guys need an H11 bulb or a 9006?

What about using Ebay kits, I see a whole bunch selling for 15 bucks for a whole kit shipped. Anybody have experience with them?

So will the fog housing have any issue if I use 50 or 55w HID kit? 3GS headlight output suck. That's the only reason I'm planning to install HID fogs.

Luke27617: Thanks =) We have them available in 9006 as well:

http://www.kbcarstuff.com/9006-HB4-X...d-9006-led.htm

energie8: Be careful with 50W HID kits. Vendors often use 50W ballasts with 35W bulbs meaning that they overdrive the HID bulb and so it burns hotter and fails quicker.

I would suggest looking at the 35W Xtreme HID kit as it has low draw ballasts which work properly if your vehicle has auto lights (assuming your leave your fogs on all the time).

2x for the xtreme hid kits. Had on a car I sold it with and have on one of my current card.. Went with Philips bulbs each time and those kits are great. The color shifter toward 5k with time. Great qulaity!!! Going strong 2nd year.

I installed 6000K HIDs on my fogs. Thanks HotShotEng for making that process very simple. Keep up the good work.

Not for the low beams or fog lights. Only on the high beam if you have daytime running lights.
