i saw a dark gray colored gs today & it looked like it had some purple in it.. is this the smokey gray color?

Dark Grayish color with purple tint sounds like it may be the Quartz Shadow paint to me.
Smoky Granite is more like charcoal.

Smoky Granite is definitely a charcoal gray. The paint mix is very basic in comparison to Flint Mica and etc.

Quartz Shadow is a very nice color. Never see it around, but I'd rock it.

It also to me doesnt look anything like Smokey Granite Mica.

I've seen only one GS with this paint in person so far, I agree it's nice

My old Civic Si was similar to this. It was Black with red flecks in it. Made it look purple in bright light. I like this color. It looks better than my gold.

I love that colour - it was the last on my list when I was shopping for my 1st 3GS - but when I saw it in person...I just had to have it.

The main problem with quartz shadow is that it's hard to keep in good condition - amost as difficult as clear black.

ive actually never seen that color. And honestly.....im not too thrilled about it either! Sorry But remember, this is coming from a guy who has a Glacier Frost GS that some people say looks "feminine". I LOVE my GS and dont really give a s#%$ what people think so.....to each his/her own!!
