The tires I am being offered are Michelin pilot sports A/S (18 inch).
Worried about switching to an all season tire as I spec'd my car out with summer tires for the added braking performance. What do you guys think?

The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S are a very capable tire. Obviously not as sticky as a pure summer tire, but it holds it's own in comfort and longevity.

If it's just a vote then chalk me up for the Pilot's, they're really great tires and expensive to boot. If you have a choice between that and something else than I'd jump on it. Not to mention, you never want to be stuck out in the middle of a rainstorm with the wrong shoes, too many things could go wrong, I say better safe than sorry.

So, if I haven't noticed anything wrong with the advans, and have 8700 miles so far, should I try to get the dealership to swap them, or do I need to wait for some physical evidence of a defect?
Thanks
Thanks

The Pilot A/S is a very capable tire. I put them on my Mitsubishi Evo8 when the stock Advans wore out. I plan on mounting them on my GS as soon as the Dunlops wear out.

I just switched to Pilot A/S. They are quieter and provide a softer ride. However, still more noise than I would like. Between the two, its a no brainer to get the A/S.

Quick note:
Initially my GS has pulling issue and "Advan A10B" noise issue, so after so many time of alignment and tire/wheel rotations, they replaced my Advan A10B with PS2, about three months ago.
Two days ago, my service advisor had asked me to bring my GS in. He told me that Lexus HQ had send someone over to look at my GS again, trying to solve the pulling issue.
Conclusion, "the specialist" told them to replaced my tires with different Michelin, and that should solve the pulling issue. The only explanation I got from him was that PS2 is not approved by Lexus.
This is my 3rd pair of shoes for my GS in less than a year, I think my GS is getting spoiled!!!
