Sunroof air deflector...
Someone clue me in here.
When you open the sunroof, a small air deflector rises.
What is this deflector's purpose...
Tonight while driving home, I held the deflector down and not only did less air enter the car through the sunroof but it made much, much less noise overall...
Think take off power in a plane vs. cruise power regarding the noise difference...
I am trying to figure out how to disable this thing now as unless I am missing something it does much more harm than good...
Any thoughts here...IF youhave not tried it please do and let me know what you think.
Not checked for spelling-

The deflector stops the build-up of ear-popping cabin pressure (in conjunction with the forward setting of the sliding roof), and by creating upwards airflow also deflects other stuff besides wind from entering the cabin, including light rain, bugs, dirt...etc.
