Artist impression of what a GS-F might look like (merged threads)
"The first in the new Lexus F brand was the Lexus IS-F that many expected to be a competitor to the BMW M3, but the end results was quite different. Even though blessed with hardcore, perhaps even borderlining on ricey looks, what the car was made of was suited more to a fast luxury cruiser instead of a track monster.
The next car in the Lexus F line-up will be the Lexus GS-F (artist’s impression above by Theophilus Chin), supposed to be aimed square at the BMW M5. Perhaps the GS-F will be powered by the V10 that’s supposed to be slotted into the Lexus LF-A supercar, making over 500 horsepower. While power figures on paper might defeat the M5, but that’s not all it takes to win the hearts of enthusiasts."

I don't think that would appeal to the masses...
The regular GS is already too plush looking, with a lack of aggressive sporty lines. If Lexus does decide to make a GS-F, I would prefer the GS-F to be completely redesigned.
The GS350 and (soon to arrive) GS460 has approx 300 and 400 hp respectively. If the GS-F arrives, it needs to have about 500 hp, and that would be taking the hype and attention away from the LF-A...

that would be horrible if it made to productions. Iam with tmf2004, they need a redesign or a radical update to compete with BMW or Mercedes on this level and that fugly rendering would just get laughs!!! Is Lexus not taking notes from the Germans when it comes to styling these beast....it defintely needs to be more agressive than the current GS. Maybe some members here could photoshop some ideas or even list ideas of how they feel the GS-F should look!!!.............Ill start with my first suggestion......LSD, 6spd option!!!!!!!

I don't think it needs to be a whole redesign, but it could use a little more to differentiate it from a standard GS. BMW and Mercedes don't do entire redesigns for their performance versions, they just add some side vents, change the fascia and exhaust pipes. Lexus could do that and maybe modify the trunklid and spoiler. It wouldn't take much to make the GS-F look a lot tougher.

GS-F? That looks hideous. How about starting with the engines first. What Toyota needs to do is start bringing back the XXGTE series engines or any sort of newly developed turbo engine back to their line up. We already suffered here, stateside, with their decision to not retain the OEM GTE motors on the Lexus brand when they were first introduced.
BMW, MB, Audi, Mazda, Porsche, Acura, Mitsubishi, Nissan (soon with the GTR), Saab, and Suburu all have FI engines. Toyota/Lexus is the only make that will NOT.
Am i the only person who is somewhat disappointed by that?
