Default '06 GS300 Deal! Hot or not?

I am looking at a '06 GS 300 with 9100 miles. Lexus CPO with 100K warranty. Everything except nav and ML. Asking 33,900. But I think I maybe able to get it for under 33,000. Do you guys think this is a pretty good deal? Thanks for your responses.

yeah, it's at a lexus dealership. I am not going to offer 33,000 off the bat but I am hoping to get it for that much out the door without sales tax. I am an out of state buyer so I would pay sales tax when I register the car. I was wondering what people thought about the 33,000 price on a car like that.

if they are asking 33900 i think you can expect to get it for a lot less than 33

A fully loaded brand new Acura TL with Navigation will cost you less and offer you way more power and about the same luxury level.

I like the TL, but It's expected to be redesigned in '09 which will come out summer/fall '08; so I am gonna pass on that. Besides I test drove it and I am not much into the feeling the road kind of guy. I like the gs better than the TL.

I think your price of $33000-$33900 before tax and tag is good if the car is Lexus Certified. Remember that it had a list of $46k new, so that's over $10k depretiation in the 1st year.

-good luck
Also, you should check around to see if there are any dealers in your area that still have new 2006 cars on the lot.

lol, TL equal in luxury as GS?? Thats so ridiculus its not worth saying anything other than thats obviously not the case and if you buy the TL you're buying a glorified Accord that everyone and their grandmother happens to own. Not to mention, the quality of them and customer service by the company and dealership pales in comparison to Lexus. Don't make a mistake and go with a TL. Take it from someone who bought one and dumped it immediately. If you're any sort of a car guy like I am, the bad build quality of the TL and cheap materials will tick you off and make you regret it deeply.

first, why is it for sale? get the vin, call another dealer and ask whats been done to the car.

secondly, i could get a *new* 300 from a local dealer to me right now for 35k, i would shoot for the 28-29 range... remember, the 350 is here

Yeah, I don't think there are any brand new gs300's at dealerships anymore. I have called a bunch and none of them have any new '06 GS300's on the lot. Most said they got rid of them back in dec/jan. even if they did have them, I would really doubt it that they would let em go for 35 honestly. These cars on ebay/autotrader are still fetching 35-40K used (depending on options). I have seen maybe 1 or 2 under 30K, but those had over 50,000 miles.
