IS250: Yes I had a Gen2 GS prior to this one. As of now I am using the DVD in dash source (Mark Levinson) with driving mod. I also added the Vaistech piece for the Ipod but have not used it yet. I am going to try to add another video source shortly and will let you know how it goes.

So does this mod make the dash noise/rattle any worse ?
Seriously though, you have a kick a$$ system but i've seen lots of other cars on the road with systems like this and from the outside it sounds like the car is falling apart, ready to explode, etc.. how well does the Lexus hold up to the punishment from those woofers ? has it brought out any new rattles or loosened any screws or body panels ?

Kuch: I didnt have the infamous dash rattle to begin with....I must have been one of the lucky ones. As far as the rest of the car rattling or looking like its falling apart, I built the system specifically to avoid that.
The woofers are "blocked" from the trunk by a piece of plexiglass and fire through the rear deck. This forces all of the sound/pressure into the car for maximum output and effeciency. Normally the pressure from the woofers would be beating up the trunk, license plate, etc and sound very annoying on the outside. The only issue I have now is the visible flexing of my roof due to the pressure ....its not really audible but sure looks cool at maximum volume....I have about $1500 worth of noise vibration material called "deadskin" that was applied to the inside of my doors, floorboard, roof and trunk. Sounds impressively "dead" when you tap on it.
