Default *********Feeling Lonely not driving my GS :( *************

So we've gotten more snow than I can remember within the past few weeks.
The main roads are plowed just fine, but my street, about 100 yards, has about 6 inches of packed ice, and tire grooves that even if I could drive, would make me scrap bottom.
So I've been driving the GX for the past week and a half.
Waxed the 450h the other day, and put a nice king size blanket over it. It's been in the nice heated garage since, but no drive time.
Today it was 3 degrees for the high and 2 inches more.
This week it should be low teens to start then mid 30's I hear. Who knows.
Maybe in a week I can get out of my development in the 450h then race down the streets and corners again. Withdrawl= no good.
The 550i is parked as well.
Seriously I am kinda getting tired of driving the 4X4.
I am more of a "car" driver. The GX is just a truck to me and I want my car back.
just had to vent. add your thoughts

I hear you on the weather. I am sick and tired of it. This is easily the most and the longest I have ever seen snow on the ground in Denver (I've been here 7 years). I am over it. I love snow in the mountains, hate it in the city.

But, I love my GS AWD!!!!!

I was driving an RX from the dealer for a few days as they worked on my dash rattle and I hated it. If I'm going to drive a "truck", I want a real truck. This cold weather and the bumpy snowpacked roads made the rattle unbearable. Now, not a single sound. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will work over the long term. They pulled the whole dash and insulated/wetherstripped/felted every edge and contact point and they said they pulled the dash back from the firewall a very small amount to stop the contact which caused the rattles (supposedly).

I will let you all know.

OK, this is sounds crazy but I'm getting sick'n'tired of our East Coast warm weather I can't wait for a snow to test drive my AWD. I hear you about RX/GX driving. Our other family car is '05 Highlander, similar stuff. Its great in the snow, but boring to drive.

Sell your house and move to Southern California then all your problems will be solved. Get rid of the GX too, you won't need that here.

Took my wife's Highlander out for a few erands over the weekend since it was raining and I did not want to get my GS dirty I think I enjoyed the 'change of scenery' briefly... but then later in the day suffered withdraws and had to go home and exchange cars. I do like how the Highlander drives, but I absolutely LOVE my GS more!

I think about my car everyday, but it's been sitting in the garage for a week now with the rain/bad weather.

First chance weather clears up, I'm taking it out.

I agree with Gsrthomas......if you're in Cali, it's sunshine about 300 days of the year. It's like 60~something right now in the Bay Area and sunny all week. SoCal should be even warmer.......then you can sell your truck and put it into the house......you'll probably need to. =)

this is a winter for the record books. It is never like this. It was crystal clear today, just 35 degrees. Normally we have about 325 days of sun, and normally you can golf on all of those as well. Oh well, not this year.
Tomorrow I'll go skiing. Best of both worlds.
