Just curious if anybody had installed the kit in a system that has the ML and monitor but no navigation system? I wanted to know if I was still gonna see all the text for the tracks and names of songs, etc.

There are things missing from a car without navigation that has nothing to do with navigation. So i'm finding out... Example: I have bluetooth, but I'm missing a LOT of voice commands, which I'm really ticked off about. Granted it may not work well, but at least I like to know I have it. Like dialing by number. I can't do that, as I don't have the voice command for it. Or I can't change the car temperature becuase the voice commands aren't here.

So that's why I'm asking my question. Next thing I find out is although I have the lcd screen to display stuff, I don't want to buy the vaistech only to find out it won't display text because I don't have the navigation system.

Yup, it will work in any 3rd gen.. I have no Nav and No ML and it works great with my Ipod.. Full display of play list names and song names..

I would like to know how is the sound quality when it is playing through the IPOD and usability from head unit (e g. accessing playlist, displaying song info and etc)?
