Default Residual value and money factor

Need some expert opinions on what I should expect on leasing a 2007 GS350 with the December to Remeber event. Test drove one Saturday and came away very impressed. What residual value and money factor should I expect on a 36 month 12,000 mile lease?

OK..Here the scoup. I just put my order in on a 2007 GS350 AWD fully loaded. The price was like $51,495.00.

I did a lease with $3,100.00 down and $769.00 a month for 36 months with 12K per year. Thats with Tier 1 credit. 730+ Credit score. Hope this helps..

3 series for about that price?!? They sell in high $20k (closer to $30k). While, 5 series is more like in GS price range. BTW, a friend of mine signed a lease on '06 X5 a couple of month ago for $450 a month. BMW doing some crazy lease deals to clean up their '06 inventory.

maybe a used 3 series.. I was talking about a new 335i; add a few options and you quickly get close to $51K... I believe the price was $47K on the 3 series and they were offering a lease of $469 for 36 months with 2500 down.

No offense but how did this turn into a BMW topic. Looking for real numbers on those two values to help me negotiate a deal this weekend. Your help is appreciated!

Here's an example of a $50K 335i:

Base Price: $38,700
Destination Charge: $695

Exterior Features:
Titanium Silver Metallic $475
Interior Features:
Black with Dakota Leather Upholstery and Aluminum Trim
Packages:
Premium Package $2,450
- BMW Assist with Bluetooth Wireless Technology
- Universal Garage Door Opener
- Auto-Dim Mirror
- Lumbar Support
- Digital Compass
Options:
Sport Package $1,600
STEPTRONIC Automatic Transmission $1,275
Paddle Shifters $100
Active Steering $1,250
Park Distance Control (rear) $350
Comfort Access $500
Active Cruise Control $2,200
Satellite Radio $595
Accessories:
Auto-Dimming Exterior Rearview Mirrors $0

Price As Built: $50,190

Zero down, $600 Sec. Dep.(refundable) 36m 10K/Yr: $599 per month so yes the $769 per month on a GS350 is a bit too much.

BMW's, especially the 5 series, have the highest resale possible.
Resale value is more about a car being desirable. I don't believe you can get a abtter deal on a lease than with BMWFS.

Default 2007 GS350 RWD 12/06 lease info

I found the information below via one of the forums at roadfly.com. Before attending the L.A. Auto Show, I was happy with my Acura RL. But for reasons of ego, modesty and snobbery,...the RL will be listed on craigslist this weekend and I'll be leasing (doubtful that I'll buy) either a GS350 or ES350 by the end of this month.

I want the interior of the ES with the exterior (and drive train) of a GS. Could be the beginning of a new 'life form'!

2007 Lexus GS350 4dr Sedan

24 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 57% of MSRP – .00205 Base Money Factor Rate
36 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 51% of MSRP – .00205 Base Money Factor Rate
48 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 42% of MSRP – .00205 Base Money Factor Rate
60 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 34% of MSRP – .00255 Base Money Factor Rate

36 mo/12k mi – Residual Value 53% of MSRP – .00205 Base Money Factor Rate
48 mo/12k mi – Residual Value 44% of MSRP – .00205 Base Money Factor Rate
60 mo/12k mi – Residual Value 36% of MSRP – .00255 Base Money Factor Rate

I'm in SoCal but I read the RV and MF can differ geographically.

As a former ES350 owner and a new GS350 owner, I have a very biased opinion Will keep it to myself. Just search GS and ES forums for problems with '07 GS350 vs '07 ES350. 'Nuff said

IMO thats a very bad lease..........Your payment is very high and putting money down on a lease is not smart.

What dealership are u working with in NY? Bay Ridge quoted me about the same monthly payment but 0 down without negotiating about a month ago, so i assume lease rate are better now.

This is with Lexus of Smithtown. You think I should say something to the dealer?

Residuals sure seem low for a Toyota product. Is that because so many cars are leased? i.e. a lot more are dumped on the used car market which gets saturated.
