Default Steering wheel upgrade GS 450h??!!??!!

I have a BMW M5 as well with an upgraded Hartge steering wheel. First of all the stock wheel is much thinker and better to grip! Any suggestions on where and what brand I can install in my GS 450h??? I can't stand the wood on the wheel and it's to skinny!!! BLAh!!! Please offer suggestions!!

M5 is such a sweet car, understand Lexus does not have the true sport that BMW has, thus a skinnier steering wheel is not offered to my knowledge.
However, in Japan, you can get an all leather steering wheel with no wood so it maybe possible we can get an all leather one here.
I have not seen any replacement steering wheels for the 3GS otherwise.

Probably a mis type, but please understand I meant a thicker one. Does that change your answer or were you probably meaning that just a typo.

Wood and to skinny are my complaints for the stock wheel. I want a thicker and a non wood.

Thanks man.

My dealer said "no" on the steering wheel mod b/c of all the electrical components and how it integrates with the nav system.

However, he may have just been trying to save himself the headache of assisting my problem...

I wonder if you could use a steering wheel from an IS250. It is all leather and a bit thicker than the GS leather/wood wheel. It has similar electronics mounted in the wheel, so that may not be an issue. It would likely be an expensive solution but it might work for you.

thats a good idea the IS steering wheel is very sporty, thick circumference too, dont see why it wouldnt fit, plus you keep more of an OEM look, just locating one with airbags and getting it to integrate might be a hassle.

I hear you on that! My 5-er had the Victor Wheel wrapped in full leather w/ perforated grips. The feel of the thicker wheel w/ the finger grooves is awsome!
