Hi everyone! New Lexus owner here!!
Hey all!
Please let me say first,I love this club,I have been a lurker for more than a month, but I finally took the leap and signed up as I feel I may have alot to share now and in the future!
My name is carlos,I'm up here in san jose,ca.
Back in August,my wife and I were looking to get rid of our gas guzzlin' 02 Lincoln Navigator and get something more up to date.We just could not agree on a suitable replacement.
One day on the way home from work,I pulled up on a GFM Gs300 and that's all it took.I called my wife and said it has to be a Lexus.
Checked out Steven's Creek Lexus, but they were unwilling to work a deal with me,that sucked because they had exactly what we wanted(GFM,black int, fully loaded).
So next day,I called up Putnam Lexus and made a deal on a Mercury Metallic
rear wheel drive Gs300.Not our first choice of color, but very nice nontheless...
I was as happy as could be for the first 4 hours of ownership. The reason I say this is because the 1st thing I did was Google some Lexus owner's clubs to see what was going on with tip and mods to these rides.
I found this awsome site,so I went to the 3rd gen forum and what do I see stickied at the top?
Lexus announces GS350 8-25-2006!!!
Crap,Putnam made to mention of a Gs350 when I shopped my car.
It took a good two weeks after that shock to get over the missed opportunity.
But,I must say i am more than happy with our 300.
It's the best car we ever had right out the wrapper!
Thanks for enduring my whole story!

I did it with our navi after almost 90k miles!!
And still got jacked on trade in value...
That's one of the main reasons we went with Lexus,I won't take a huge hit on resale if needed.
Or at least until I found about about the GS 350!!!!!!

Here's a shot of my Sirius XTR2CK unit on the center console. I tried to get Putnam to install Sirius there, but I got 4 excuses why they couldn't do it,it is a good topic for another time........
