Default Looking for GS350AWD w/ Nav-MN dealers won't deal

I live in Minnesota and need AWD. Both dealers in town are telling me they won't haggle on price because demand for gs350's is high here. Everything on their lot is AWD. One said "show me a quote and I'll see what I can do".

I was wondering if anyone has dealt with dealers that would have many AWD's? I would like to pay $500-$1000 above invoice. Sounds like around here I'd be lucky to get $1000-$2000 off MSRP. I prefer Blk w/ tan interior/AWD/Nav.

Any idea what delivery charge is from out state?

Any dealer recommendations in Midwest?

Any tips on buying from an outsate dealer?

I'm still considering a used 06 gs300 but figure why not stretch the payments out over another year and get the 350 for approx. same payment!?

Great site....

Local conditions will totally determine what price you can get. I paid ~3000 off sticker for a loaded AWD w ML and Nav, others have reported both much higher and much lower. I don't think you can take a price from message boards and say that you ought to be able to get that price locally. 1) local market conditions are very different 2) you don't know if the price people are quoting on the internet means that they got taken on a trade, paid $1000 in dealer fees, etc. There are too many variables to compare apples to apples.

If you are in an area with a lot of dealerships, then competition will obviously push the price down. I doubt you are going to see 500 over invoice anytime soon on the 350, though.

I personally would not buy the GS300 due to the HP issue, but if that is not an important issue to you the car is otherwise much the same.

Dealers have to make a living too. When I was looking for one, I spent some time looking around for a good price. Then I realize that I could be earning more money then to save a few hundred dollars. I'd just take the best deal you can get.

Also, some dealers provide perks for their customers: my dealership will come pick up the car and leave a loaner for me. Some will even do state inspection for free for as long as you own the car. Just my 2 cents!

As long as the sales guy makes a few bucks I could care less about the dealer... In my job in todays market I'm getting bent over every day! $3,000-$4,000 is a big deal for me!

After talking to both dealers I know they would be happy to service my car no matter where I purchased it.

So....Where should I call for purchase and delivery of a new gs350 w/ nav..close to invoice?

Any dealer reading please PM me!

The two dealers in Oregon tend to get a fair number of AWD vehicles in their allocations. If you hit them towards the end of the month/quarter and take delivery from inventory you can sometimes work out a pretty decent deal. My daughter got her new IS 250 AWD in June for about a thousand over invoice. However, they don't seem to have a lot of GS 350's on hand at the moment so it may be harder to get them to deal.

Good luck in your search!!

the only way you'll be getting $500 over invoice is at the end of the year when the new '08 350's come in or if you have some connections at a dealership. with a new model like this you're never going to find one at that price especially this early in the game.

i agree with the last post. ive read a lot of post of guys claiming to pay 500 to 1000 over invoice. i find this hard to believe with a new model. after visiting 6 dealers in the northeast, the lowest price i got was 1500 above invoice. i felt i got a decent deal for a new vehicle at the start on the model year.

Thanks for the feedback. One of my local dealers is finally close to what I feel comfortable paying. I drove one yesterday and loved the color: Smoky Granite Mica w/ black interior. Hmmm... Granite Mica or obsidian?

I personally do not care about the 60 HP difference between the current GS300 and the '07 GS350,so,I decided to buy a completley loaded 06 GS300 with 7000 miles on it. MSRP new,was $52,000. I paid $41,000.

By the way, there are plenty of AWD cars in NJ.

ok i stand corrected. check the 350 pricing thread (page 5). one person has gotten $500 over invoice and another at $750 over invoice.

wronglane: someone got their 350 for $41,683 before taxes and title.

What state is he in? If the car was loaded and had an MSRP of over 50k,I would have to say his nose is growing.

That $41k deal on a GS350 was definitely not fully loaded. I myself spent about 2 weeks going back and forth between about 4 different dealers. I managed to get the pricing down to $1000 over invoice without ever setting foot on a lot. Then on the final day went on the lot and got it down to $500 over. You can do it, it just takes perserverance. $500 over on a fully loaded was just shy of $46k. MSRP was $51277. If that helps.
