What's it gonna take (cost) to get GS430 18" rims on AWD GS350?
I love the look of the standard rims on the GS430 (see pic), and would like to get them on the GS350 I'm getting ready to purchase. One dealer I spoke to said they'd swap the rims for $4k, give me a small token credit (at the time they didn't say what that amount would be) for the 350 rims and I'd be stuck with the 17" tires. Does this sound right, or have others had success getting these rims on their 350 at little or no extra cost?
Because I live in the midwest and we don't seem to be getting any AWD 350's equiped with Nav and ML (this is the kicker), its looking more and more like I'll have to order one. So I'm also curious what the dealers are going to say when I ask them about getting these rims standard on the order.
Thanks

$4k is just ludicrous. Might as well get them from Sewell Lexus for $1375.

Why would you want to trade your wheels for the 18" wheel/tire combo on a AWD car that will experience midwestern winters. Keep the all-seasons that come with the car and get a nice set of aftermarket 18" wheels/tires for summer use. I'm sure it will be a lot less money to just get a set from Tire Rack.

My 17" 350 wheels and tires will be replaced by 430s
BTW, I am considering the Falken 245/40ZR18 on the 5 spoke 430 wheels.
Any input on a better tire for the buck? I want something at least quiet.

$1000 Extra
Hi everyone, I am a new comer to Club Lexus.
When I ordered my 2007 GS350awd, Sewell Lexus in Dallas offered me to upgrade the std 17" wheel to V8's 18" wheel for additional $1000.
But I decided to wear out the factory set then upgrade to 19" or even 20."
Hope this helps,
SL

2K max for wheels + tires + a new set of TP sensors (not required
if you use the ones on your old wheels)
4K is a complete ripoff.

Yea, the dealer I'm purchasing my GS350 from offered to upgrade as well for $1k, but I've now found another dealer that will sell me the GS430 rims new for $500. I'll put new tires on them for another $650 and have myself a new set of rims/tires for $1150, and I get to keep or resale the new 17" set from my car. Therefore the $1k upgrade was not worth it.

mf1776 - I got lucky on this deal catching a dealer at just the right moment. They'd been sitting on the rims for a bit and I happened to call at just the right moment. To make sure I was getting a good deal, I called other dealers and was quoted anywhere from $1k to $2k for the same set of rims. You can order them from Sewell Lexus of Dallas, but who knows... you may have some luck if you call all the dealers in say Chicago (not sure where you are located) and see if they have a set you could take off their hands. Good luck.
