Last week we drove 2100 from Florida to New Mexico. We got right at 27 mpg for the whole trip using premium always.

Using 91, I've averaged about 350 Mi. a tank with 220 miles on the highway.

14-15. Mostly stoplight to stoplight driving. Haven't put together a good freeway driving tank figure yet :/

You have just revived a 9-year old thread when there was a recent thread about MPG's linked below.

Default mpg

Great thread I do not have a 430 but just picked up an 08 460 .Florida to San Antonio Tex average 26.5 mpg at around 75 mph.I think it helps to have an 8 speed tranny cruising around 80 mph the revs area around 2k

Yeah, well there's that and the fact that I don't even have a third gen GS
So I screwed up. I forgot I was searching mpg in one window and days later responded because I thought it was on top of where I usually lurk in the 2GS forum.

My GS 300 does exactly the same. How on earth is this possible? If the superior, classic 4.3 V8 can get virtually the same mpg as the oil burning DI 3.0 V6, why the hell did they bother making the stupid 3.0? And why did I stupidly buy it.

Nothin' but premium for me. Switch between BP/Amoco Ultimate Premium and Shell V-Power.
I know how your friend feels, he's like "why the hell did I bother with the V6???". I have to stop coming to this forum. Every stat, every bit of data posted makes me feel worse about my GS 300. I can't believe the 430 does nearly as good or better for MPG.
