Default Key battery low but only 1 warning

about a week ago I got the msg about the Key Battery being low... but I haven't seen the warning again since then. Is this normal? Should I just wait until I get the msg again?
thanks
Ken

Just change the battery in my opinion at least you wont be waiting for it to come on again, there like $3-5 at walgreens, I think someone got them for $2.94 on Amazon.

Mine was the same way but then the warnings came more frequently. Have piece of mind and change the fob battery.

had my key battery die after a flight and thought I was stranded at the airport in my car but apparently lexus thought of this ingenious method of starting the car in case it does, all you need to do is hold down the brake and push the start stop button with your keyfob instead of your finger even if the battery is dead.

I've been occasionally getting the warning for the past 6 weeks. I have a spare in the console, and out of curiosity will wait until the current battery finally dies.

I will be caution to let the key battery died. You will not be able to open the door and will not be able to start the car. I could not open the door before I changed to new battery last time. And when I tried to start the car, it indicated that it cannot detect the key.

way to post without reading. There is a key in your keyfob, if you've never noticed it had a key then you are beyond oblivious. You can open the door with that key. Then to start the car, read the posts above.

I apologize if you think I didn't read your post. Yes, I know there is a key in the keyfob. I just missed the key hole at the driver door. Well, I didn't know there was a way to start the car when my battery died last time until I read your post. I will try it next time. Thanks.
