Default AFS Light Flashes after lowering car - Help!

I have a 2006 gs300 and just lowered it with Tanabe springs, after I started the car the "AFS OFF" light flashes and doesn't stop. Pressing the "AFS" button doesn't make a difference. Did I do something wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

do a search on the 3gs forum for "AFS". There's an old thread from about a year ago that shows you how to correct this. Don't remember who started the thread, but from what I recall, whoever installed your springs knocked the headlight leveling arm out of spec, so you need to adjust it back in range. The leveling arm is near the front springs, so it is easy to do if you aren't careful. The AFS light is telling you the car can't properly adjust the headlights within the allowable range.

It's all a matter of what the installer did wrong... THere are several AFS sensor wires that are near the suspension and if the tech incorrectly installed it, than the AFS issue comes up.. check the 2IS forums.. very prominent on that car.. More sensitive...

Too late for me...a German shop downtown broke my rear sensor , according to the Lexus shop here in Germany. The Lexus dealer said they would order me a new sensor and charge it to my road warranty . NOW, the shop downtown will OWE me big time when they put my 20 inch Collectizone DD4r's on in 6 weeks.

Thanks Eternity3G. You and the other guys/girls give me plenty of good advice...I have been lerking for about a month now. These guys don;t even have teh 430 over here and they LOVE my ride. They can;t believe Iam putting 285/25/20 and 245/30/20 on the ride. They BEGGED me to come and let them put the tires on when they arrive. Yesterday I had it up to 140 on the autobahn....SHE ROLLS HARD!
