Dealer Charges $400 per runflat tire for GS300
Hit a pothole, you know what happens to the tire. Went to the dealer. Their price is $400 per tire. I could not believe what I was hearing . I know thru tirerack I can buy them around $260 per tire. Thinking about replacing it with no runflat tires since I am seeing many good feedbacks.
How about Kumho ECSTA ASX 94W rated tires? Anyone had an experience with this tire? Review in Tirerack is great.
Better stop dealers with over priced, nonsense, and immoral customer service.

$400 is way too much. I had to replace one at about 3,000 miles, dealer originally quoted me (I think) around $250 installed but "gave me a break" and I was out the door for about $185 IIRC.

You guys have to understand, dealers are not tire specialists, they dont do
the volume "tirerack" does so they dont get the same prices.
plus, most of the time when a customer needs a tire, i give them a loaner car
and i wash their car.....
also, the techs at the dealerships get paid per job, as opposed to the
techs at the tire shops that get paid $10 per hour..

Just replace them with Kumho ECSTA ASX tires.
I just replace them with new Kumho ECSTA ASX tires (225/50 R17 94W). It is as Tirerack reviewed. Smooth, no noise, grips like there is no tomorrow. I should have replace them longtime ago.
I do not knoe how long it wil last but so far the performance of tire is . Top on that, the total cost $450 including balancing and etc..
They said it is racing proven tire and my GS300 AWD is very happy..
Just to let you know people out there!

For what it's worth, I paid $1,220 for a set of Bridgestone Run Flat Blizzaks (winter tire) installed from my dealer. They've had difficulty in mounting and unmounting these run flats on my GS430.
