OFFICIAL: New for 2007 GS Updates

CrazyMPG, it is the same engine, just slight difference in intake and exhaust. There is 177 lbs weight difference. I would not buy Lexus' 18" wheel/tire option, use the $ to buy forged alloy 18x8 rims cut weight and increase power delivered to the wheels.

Because the GS450h came out as an early 2007 model, your production date was probably before the 2007 model year cars were starting to be built i.e. GS350 and 430.

so if someone ordered a gs450h now from the factory...would they have the new updated 07 features for the GS?...cuz my dealer called me about 3 weeks ago to tell me that they are building a smokey granite mica gs450h for me since they don't have the flint mica anymore...and cuz i wanted grey leather instead of the black cuz of the black wood trim that i found really nice...so just wondering...heh

Yeah there is a certain cutoff. I don't know the date exactly. But from anytime now and you special order from the factory, you will get the updated 07 colors/features.

No. In order to upgrade to Gen 5 Nav, you need the NAV brain, new touch screen monitor and the Gen 5 DVD disc. The NAV screen and brain is roughly $5k MSRP. Add for the Gen 5 Nav DVD....and you get the picture.

Too bad the Gen 5 Nav does not have the 3D birdseye view that Nissan/Infiniti has patented. It's unbelieveable. Once you have it's hard to make the changeover.

flipside909, how much does the shark fin antenna run? $5K for Gen 5 is not worth it to me. I'm perfectly happy with my current nav system, but I always crave the latest technology.

So what is the big difference between the Gen 4 and Gen 5 navi's besides better graphics? Also, are the Gen 5 graphics really that much better?
Just wanted some feedback.

The Gen 5 graphics are very, very nice looking. I haven't seen the Gen 4 graphics except in pictures, but they look a lot more pixilated and rough-edged.
