Hello Everyone...

We have had our '06 GS since July of last year and had the dealer install XM... I have Sirus in my IS and like it much more than XM.. My question is after looking at some of the Install threads:

Since the car already has the small XM antenna mounted in the corner of the rear window, can I just buy the Sirius recevier from Lexus and swap it with the XM one?? Seems to me that other people have had Sirius work with the XM antenna.

Also where is the Recevier located and for those who did use the XM antenna with Sirius was there a adapter need to make the end fit the Sirius Recevier. Any pics would be appreciated for those who installed it themselfs.

i have the sirius tuner w/ the xm antenna. works fine. the quality of music could be better, but i don't know if that is because it's Sat radio or the tuner integration with the Lexus system (i'm a first time Sat car user and never tried XM).

anyway, i took a peek after the install was done and the tuner is located underneath the trunk mat and compartment, only about 4 feet from the antenna mount on the rear shelf inside the rear window. i don't think you need any adapter, but i am not sure since i did not install it myself.
