Default 194 bulb brightness

i just noticed how dim the parking light or running light LED replacements are on this thread. I just installed a white LED 194 bulb on my friends truck for his running lights. it was from www.v-leds.com

it is an 11 SMT bulb and was super bright and looked really good at night. i haven't seen it yet during the day, but i'm sure it'll do fine. the white one is about a 6000k color temp.

i highly recommend it for someone to test out on their 3GS.

link to the bulb..http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...id/0/SFV/32481

simple rule of thumb..the more LED's, the brighter it will be. make sure to buy an SMT type bulb. its the newest technology.

use the coupon code "miata" for about 10% off

shipping is fast too.

GUYS!!!

Bring your toy to the dealer and have your DRL "TURNOFF", so you will have one less headache!!!

Also, I have recently replaced my "high powered LED parking light" with "25 SMD SMT LED," it is 10x brighter than the regular "high powered LED."

I have been ordered from the eBay seller [warden_jp2002] for the past few years, his product have been excellent and more reasonable priced (http://cgi.ebay.com/2pcs-T10-168-194...d=p3911.c0.m14).

Hope this helps,

SL

Guy, sorry for the delay...

Too tired to take the pictures as promised, got home late last night.

Images might not be as good, used cell phone camera (can not find my digital cameras)...

Let me know if you want me to put in the 1W high power LED on one-side and 25SMT on the other. I should be able to do so this weekend, just let me know.

Hope this helps,

SL

Like most LEDs, they look too blue and doesnt match the HIDs, but they are pretty bright though.

Looking at that 4th picture, you will need at least 8000K to match those LEDs.

depending on the LED I would agree with you. Some are farrr more blue than others. I've found that VLED's LED bulbs match the 6000k-6500k range very very well. I would argue his bulbs are the highest quality ones on the market. They use the latest technology of M-SMT bulbs and they in alot of cases they are brighter than your standard filament would be. I have attached two photos for you to take a look. This is on my friends 05 Tundra double cab. He has an 11 M-SMT VLED bulb in his parking lights and the Xenon Depot bi-xenon 6500k HID kit for his headlights up top and 5000k for his fogs down below. As you can see from the photos taken from a high quality camera (instead of a cell phone with a tiny lense that will easily not get the colors correct) they are close to a dead on match to the 6500k HID kit.

the parking light by itself...the lense it is in makes it look a little bluer than it actually is the way the light refracts out of it.

i'm not trying to argue with you in any way..so don't take this the wrong way.

i didn't alter these pictures to prove my point..this is the exact color representation of the bulb color temperatures in person.
