I'll be praying that it works (both on the GS and IS). Do you have any idea what kind of information is available on the LCD, or if it's possible for the remote starter to also replace the SmartAccess key that comes with car?
By the way, the antenna on the remote reminds me of the old-school cordless telephones from the 90s.
Right now we are trying to figure out if it will work with US models. The IS kit is really close to this kit as well. These kit are for the 06 models, not for the older models. Now if you want to purchase one and find out what you can do with it give me call.

Does Lexus offer a factory / dealer-installed remote start system here in the US? Maybe the US version of the kit will be available here in the fall? If so, I would be interested in getting it.

No, they do not offer it for the United States.
For "safety" reasons. Although I find it odd, since American car companies have remote engine starts and all sorts of goodies. Yet, for the foreign car companies, we don't get extra options, and features here in the States.
Gotta love how the system works here. I hope I don't offend anybody here, I'm just bitter.
Aside from my off topicness, when will you guys be installing it?
1st gen and 2nd Gen vehicles are easy, you dont need such a complicated unit, there are many aftermarket units with or without alarm module, PM me and I can get you one for under $100 easy....if your key has a built in chip it will need to be taoed under the dash so the chip communicates with the system and you simply use a key without a built in chip to start up the car manually when you get in, if you dont use the remote start feature. These aftermarket units do however need basic wiring skills, solder etc......the unit above that links seamlessly will cost $1000 probably, heck if the fog lighst were $1400 who knows....

nah i don't think they are offered here in the US at all, it's just exclusive to the japanese model. and for sure they won't work with the previous generation
i hope they continue to have these good exclusive stuff for the new LS. that would be hot
