actually the headrests ARE motorized.... but it goes up and down according to the seat position (try pulling your seat forward and backward and you will see the headrest move). but true that there is no SEPARATE button to adjust it

if you adjust your seat and then want to further adjust the headrest, you press on that button (look for the imprint) and adjust it

If the GS headrest is motorized, they should have put a power manual button there like the E class.

tell me about it. just like the mirror folding.

but for sure it moves together with the seat. that's why if you look at the passenger side, iirc, it's just like the traditional setup at the base of the poles

Yep it moves by itself. I know this because I always set it back down to the lowest level and after I while I look at it and it's moved up again. :P

You fully extend the headrest and pull the post apart from one another and pull up its kinda tough that's how mine came out when I put my aftermarket ones in

But I also want to put it back, so as long as doing it that way is correct, thanks. I read in one thread where there may be a pin holding it and removing the seat panel is required.

Was looking for a way to remove my headrest and this was the first result on Google. However, there's no information on how to remove. For future references for others like me, it turns out it's held on by 2 pins, exactly the same as the LS460 as shown in the thread here. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...r-ls460-l.html

Just need to under 2 screws to remove the back panel, pull it off and remove the 2 pins and the headrest will slide right out. Be careful as the pin will fly away. Hope this will help someone in the future
