I would have done the whole hood if I did the whole roof and trunk. It would be better to continue the theme.
Doing the hood only would have looked good the way you have it.
Whole trunk + whole roof = whole hood.

Just my 2 cents.

I can't fight body lines, to me - do the whole hood would break the transition from the grill, and wrap it in full - would make it look like a civic...
