It looks dropped too! Hopefull we can get some more info.

Usually I am not a fan of oversize wheels as this is extreme but it doesn't look to bad.

Nice, but those wheels don't go with that color IMHO. It would look better on Flint Mica or Black.

And I forgot to mention that they were staggard at that...it actually looked very very nice in person. I think the fact that they were blk faced helped tone down the size a little...

I have to agree. Before I left for FL, I spoke to one of our suppliers in FL and I was told there would be a 3rd Gen GS at the show with 22's. The first thing that came to mind was bling-tastic spinners or something, but when I saw the car I couldnt believe it! The black really toned it down alot and it was not 'that' high off the ground (considering its NOT lowered yet!!). The car looked even better in person (looks somewhat "bloated" in these pics)

I stood there with these guys talking for quite some time, as I couldnt believe teh 3rd gen accepted the 295/25 with such ease (no fender mods). If I was going to go overboard on wheels on a 3rd Gen, I would have to go black or graphite, to keep it toned down.

Specs are

AVUS Wheels
22x9 front with 245/30-22 Pirelli P-Zero
22x10.5 rear with 295/25-22 Pirelli P-Zero

Thanks for the info! DAMN!! 295s in the rear with 22s!! That is a lot of room then. Maybe 305s with 20s???

I'm telling you man, I have been doing research on the 3rd gen, and this was just the "glitch in the matrix" for me. The 295/25-22 is pretty much the normal rear tire in a BMW 745 package with a 10.5 rear wheel. So to see the same package on a GS, I was just dazed! LOL Of course it didnt have a 745 type lip due to different offsets / clearances, but the raw numbers were identical!!!

I know rmm just did a 295 on a 2nd gen (20") and ttpimp has a 305 coming (20") as well.

doesnt look like he can lower it too much now It does look ok with the black face but anything remotely chrome or hi polish would not look as good. Brushed would also look nice. I would personally stick to 20s and slam it when the components come out

What is the lip size on these wheels?

looking at the pics and reading the specs on the rims/tires...there's no way that car isn't lowered...unless some really good photoshop rendering was involved. Nonetheless, it looks pretty sick on 22's but i think its a bit too big for my own personal taste...but you know what they say....if you gonna go big...better go 22's.

I think the 3GS looks pretty good w/ the 22's. When I first saw the post I didn't notice it was 22's. I thought it was 20's w/ a drop. It doesn't have the 4X4 look as the 2GS would on 22's. I just really wanna see what are you guys response to having the black wheels w/ the white car. I think he can get away with it

the overall diameter of the wheels on that car is 2 inches more than spec. to be honest, and i have asked before, can you turn with that car? it's definitely a show piece though, looks awesome. but i want something that i can roll on daily
