man highmiles, you do crank on some miles. sounds like you're enjoying your new ride I have not even put 10k on my car yet and I've had it almost a year!

did you notice it is faster since it is broken in? after 3k, 5k or what? just curious

No I have not noticed any difference in performance. Then again aside from on-ramps an occasional two lane passing I don't drive very hard. I do find that I am getting more used to the subtle differences in the power band and gearing as opposed to my 98GS. It took awhile for me to get used to managing the performance of my 98GS and same is true with the new GS.

I have noticed a slight vibration in the brake pedal when making a gradual (not hard) stop in my GS430. Is this the "pulsing" you were feeling? I just thought it was a characteristic of the new braking system. I doesn't seem to happen under hard stops. Did it go away with the new roters and pads? Inquiring minds want to know.

The GS 430 has a new "drive-by-wire" braking system... aka electrical

Also, according to one of my Lexus tests.. haha "The 06 GS brake pads are made of long lasting brake pad material for long term use".. the answer was FALSE...

so I think it's a combination of the braking software on the few models PLUS the material they are now using on the pads and (not sure) rotors.

Yup, that's the symptom. You should get your rotors replaced ASAP. There shouldn't be any vibration at all when you brake.

My braking is greatly improved after they changed Rotors. No pulsing and none of the initial "grabby" feel that happens to anyone the first time they hit the brakes on the GS430.

Sounds like you have one the first batch of GS430s with the coated Rotors that need to be replaced. As I mentioned my sources say that this condition has been fixed at the Factory in Japan. Only those of us that took early delivery of our GS430s are effected. None of the GS300s have the same problem as their braking system is different.
