Ha ha bargain!
Considering Singapore is only about 27miles east to west and 13 miles south to north, max speed limit on highway of only 56 mph (most raods are 31mph) I don't think its any bargain.

Hi friends.
I 'm new member here. I come from Thailand. Next Monday I will get my new GS300 RWD. In Thailand, there are only GS300 RWD. The price is very high when compare with other countries althought singapore. The price is around 5.3 million baht Thai ($135,897 us). I wonder why GS300 in Thailand has only 228bhp (in usa has 245bhp). I also found at www.lexus.com.sg, it same Thailand 228bhp. How can I upgrade bhp on my GS300 RWD?

We only have the 228bhp version because, LEXUS does not trust the petrol mon/ron ratings here in South East Asia to give us the Direct Injection engine with higer compression ratio. At least that is what the lexus sales person said.
I am also new to modding a Lexus. Anyone tried tuning with a piggy-back ECU, or are there aftermarket replacement ECUs.
I've been with Subaru for the past six yrs, having owned the twin turbo Legacy B4 RSK, supercharged 660cc Vivio, WRX STI and also the Forester XT (which I am still holding on).

can singapore allow window tinting?? how many percent tint ? I thought it was illegal?
Its its allowed, I would want to tint my car (not exactly mine, but family's car) when I go back later in the summer.
I grew up in singapore (originally from indo)...from primary all the way to high school . Maybe it would be real cool if we can set up a Club Lexus meet in Singapore..

front windscreen and 2 front windows : minimum light transmission limit is 75%
for the rear windows : min light transmission is 25%
With the film I am intending to get, I'll more likely fall below 75% for the front, maybe abt 70%.

I'm into Ray-Barrier. Very cool Japanese product. Used it for every car since my Nissan Cefiro. Used to use V-Cool and problem is due to metalic film, it has limitation to cover the whole screen so requires 2 pieces and joining line is very irritation especially when it is almost at eye level. I understand another potential problem is the metallic file may cause stains from corrosion after a few years. Know that Huper Optik is a lower range product from V-Cool. Why compromise right?
Been a very happy customer with the Ray-Barrier productr developed by Sumitomo. Worth trying. I visited them on Tuesday after picking up my GS and has appointment to install their new Ray-Shield coming Monday. Diff between Shield and Barrier is the former rejects 95% of IR while the later 80%.

I got to take a look at that. Huber Optik is actually recommended by Borneo and they can even install it in their workshop.
I am looking at putting DVD, nav and all those cool stuff that the US folks have. Anyone know if anyone can do it here in Singpore? Nav will be really nice for driving up North.
