Default Wheel Offset - Info Pls

Hi,

Appreciate any assistance forthcoming with regards to info on offset for 2006 Lexus GS.

Does anyone know what the maximum and minimum allowable wheel offset is? It should be in the owners manual but i've checked all through it and there isn't any info.

Please do assist if you can. I am putting on some new rims and would like to try an offset of +33 on 19 inch 8 1/2 J rims.

Its been real hard finding the correct rims due to the larger than usual front brake caliper which limits rim design choices to "outies" i.e the spokes of the rim have to angle outwards towards the lip of the outer rim. 2006 Lexus GS owners will know what i mean.

Hope someone shares the info soon.

Cheers!
Andy

I have not seen definitive thresholds posted for the 3GS yet. From preliminary suspicions (from pics and discussions), the 3GS is no better than the 2GS in this respect, maybe even worse.

Until we get more datapoints, you may be part of the "guinea pig" group that will provide the data for future owners.

We already know 19x9.5 w/+45 offset in the rear fits:

But that is in the rear and is a pretty conservative offset. The +33 on an 8.5" width rim is on the aggressive (not VIP aggressive ) side for the 3GS.

We need some risk takers to try or someone to do some measurements.

yeah i was so dumb that i didn't take a look at teh offset when i was at longo last time.... when i was there this past weekend that gs with the wheels was gone already, otherwise i would have looked at the offset and see how well it fits

but judging from the rear wheel setup, the 3gs doesn't look anything more impressive than the 2gs

8.5 +32 fit on the 2gs fine, but it's on the aggressive side. so i wouldn't be surprised if it will fit on the 3gs. anything more aggressive i don' tknow

and what happens when you lower the car that's also a big question mark
