You are the MAN . What are the wires that are attached to the switch? The (K46 pin #14 'purple' VSS wire) and the (K46 #23 'yellow' Parking Brk wire) or the (h1, pin #13 pink VSS wire; which is Pin #16 white w/ silver dots on 07' GS models)? Thank you so much!

GREAT POST! Worked like a charm. It's important to use the little white gear switch to move the shifter into Drive, otherwise your car will stay on and its not good idea to make connections if installing the Data System override with the power on. There is really no need to pry the system as mentioned, I just kind of grabbed and gently pulled with my thumb in the mouth of the casette player.

Quick question (posed in another thread, but...): Is it possible to reach in to the back of the nav unit without removing the unit itself by taking out the glovebox (for a ipod/usb module harness connection) or are we pretty much limited to the whole nav unit removal procedure?

from my experience, you need to remove it to connect anything back there
