I have a question I was hoping '06 GS owners can assist me with. The brochure pics clearly show the accelerator pedal being bottom hinged. However, I sat in a couple GS300's this weekend and their pedals were top hinged. Is the pedal different for the GS300 & 430 or did Lexus change the pedals after the brochures were printed? I know it's a silly question, but I really prefer the "feel" of bottom hinged pedal.

I know for sure the pedals in the GS430 are bottom hinged just like the LS. I don't recall if the GS3 were the same way considering i sat in more GS300's than 430s.

According to the manual, there are two different pedals. One for the RWD GS and one for the AWD GS.

My GS300 RWD has a bottom hinged pedal. I believe that the AWD has a much smaller pedal that is top hinged.

I never really noticed this difference and I'm around these cars all day. The AWD has a space issue with the hump of the center differential very close to where the pedal base would be. The AWD has a curved rod extending down fom the top that supports the smaller pedal. The RWD Models both have a bottom hinged and much larger pedal.
