I finally got to see and test drive the new 3rd gen GS at my local dealer. I must say Lexus did a very fine job with the interior and exterior features. You appreciate the car more when you see it in person. I was able to drive the 300 and 430. The new 300 is a big improvement from the current model, I can attest to that because I also own 2nd gen 300 along with my 400. The transmission shifting is very smooth and seamless. I especially like the manual shifting especially now since you can downshift down to 1st in manual. I also liked the interior illumination the new seats/ the door panels/console and not to mention the HID lighting under the two front seats for the rear passengers.
The noticable difference to me but not a deal breaker is the lack of room in the roof line in the back seat and the smaller trunk otherwise the 3rd gen GS has my vote.
I lastly drove the 430...........wow what a difference!! I was very impressed with again the seamless shifting ,the quite cabin not to mention the keyless entry along with the Nav etc.
The overall new design is very impressive and modern. The front is very sleek and the new headlamps are quite unique. I was not sure what to expect b'cos looking at pictures that first came out the new GS had some similarities to the Maxima but after seeing it in person these are two different cars and by far the GS blows the Maxima away.
I will say that I have now 100% decided to upgrade to the 3rd gen GS hopefully as soon as they introduce the GS 460 model with hopefully 400hp. I really look forward and anxiously can't wait to have one in my garage soon. I will surely miss my GS400 and Supra when I part with them that sad day but I look forward to owning my new Silverbullet soon to come.
Ps. I especially like the Flint Mica and Millenium Silver colour.

yaro1....check out these pics. This was a flint mica at a local dealership. I think the flint mica would look perfect with eaither the ash or black. This was a flint mica with black interior. However, as u can see its not really black - but a dark charcoal gray color. It looks perfect when the light hits it - its the perfect shade of color. The flitn mica with ash also looks perfect but i dont have a picture to show u. They are both excellent choices.
I LOVE the flitn mica with black interiro though. That is my fav combo on the 06GS
