Default OEM Exhaust Tip and Mounting - 2007 GS350

My left exhaust tip fell off the other month and I’ve just gotten around to looking at it. It must have been loose because the minor exhaust rattle It disappeared once it fell off. Anyway, I intend to replace both tips, but have a few questions after looking at it today.

How in the world are these mounted? Are they spot welded?

Whats the OEM part number? I can’t get the one I do have off to find one.

If the oem are pricey, or you just want an upgrade. what I did to my car was add Honda S2000 AP2 exhaust tips. They fit right on, there bigger then oem and more oval and imo look a lot cooler. I bought mine used, but I think they sell for $90 bucks per tip.

I think you have a very cheap option which is Ebay/Aliexpress aftermarket tips which cost like 15$ you can even select the color black or silver, not the best quality and fitting but does the job for 15$. if you want the original OEM they cost like 150-200$ I think these are the best option if you have a mint condition GS and want to keep it like this.

The original tips are sort of "pinched" onto the exhaust pipe, they are not welded. A new one should simply slide on and have enough grip to stay there.

I am also replacing my exhaust tips because they have scratches and are dull. Does anyone know how far they should be pushed in? A picture would be nice. I have already removed the old tips but forgot how they were positioned.

Just to clarify a picture closeup of the inside of the exhaust tip would suffice or a measurement of the distance between the muffler to the edge of the back of the exhaust tip. I'm just trying to get it lined up correctly. These are oem tips.
