Quick story:
We met the Internet/fleet sales manager at the lot where the cars were kept. Unfortunately, the key was missing from the car we wanted and there was only one Mercury Metallic with Nav.. So he started showing us the Nav and features in a different car, an Olive green GS430. As he's demonstrating, my wife looks up and sees "our" car driving by with another salesman at the wheel. She says, "hey, isn't that our car?".

Our salesman jumps out of the demo car and takes off after our car. He catches up at the lot exit and the two salesman have a heated discussion which results in the car being parked near the exit and the other salesman leaving. Our salesman comes back and tells us someone else wanted to buy the same car. However, since we had been quoted a price already and the other customer had not, we had first dibs.The salesman then hears his cell phone ringing and starts searching all of his pockets but can't find it. He looks inside the car, can't find it, it's still ringing. He finally realizes it' fell out of his pocket onto the concrete when he jumped out of the car and has rolled under the car. Now, if the whole scene was a sales trick, it was a pretty convincing one. So I ended up buying the car and driving it home that day.
