The I6 is going the way of the dinasour - in today's world of bottom line counting for everything, an I6 is just too expensive to make compared to V6. Oddly enough a couple of I5 engines will march on (Volvo and VW). Other than BMW virtually no one has an I6 anymore.

Don't forget GM - they're a new convert to the I5 world and use it in things like the Trailblazer SUV as I recall. Also, Volvo uses NA and twin turbo I6s in sedans and their SUV. The twin turbo units look like they will be phased out in the SUV for the new V8 and their whole current inline engine family that they developed with Porsche at the end of the 80s (I6 followed by I5 and then I4) will be start getting replaced by a new inline engine family as early as next year.
