Thanks Rominl:

Wow the GS430 sure get some new performance goodies (VDIM: ECB, EPS, VGRS, VSC, TRAC, ABS, EBD and Brake Force Assist). The GS300 seem to get old carry over technology (VSC: TRAC, ABS).

No mention of the adjustable suspension though.

Can't wait to see or sit in one in person.

Default torgue #s??

Can someone help me out here: usually, isn't your torque number just a little bit HIGHER than your HP number? Why is there more in the 430 in relation to the 300 (325/300 vs. 230/245)? And would it have killed Lexus to bump up the HP in the 430 maybe another 10-25HP, since the 300 got a little extra??

The current GS430 has all that alphabet soup so I don't see anything new.

And no active suspension is a real disappointment. The CLS500 has it.

I Agree the GS43 should have gotten more, but it didn't get more because then the LS430 would have to get bumped. ANd with a new LS only 2 years away, you will see a big bump in both the LS and GS by then.

With the GS300 vs. GS430. THe disparity between the 2 is still pretty large in terms of power. So, I don't think Lexus needed to up the power in the GS430 just because the GS300 is up to 245bhp. THat's still a 55bhp difference which is more than enough to justify the GS430's higher pricetag.

With respect to torque vs. BHP. Usually Toyota/Lexus engine are higher in torque than BHP, but I guess this is a first for Toyota/Lexus. The numbers are still pretty close and the 3.0L V6 doesn't have the disparity between BHP & Torque that let's say, alot of Honda engines have. Check out the new RL for example, 260lb-ft vs 300bhp. or the TL, I believe about 225lb-ft vs. 270bhp. The Plus with the GS is the peak torque comes on at a relatively low RPM, whereas Honda/Acura engine get their peak torque numbers at higher RPMs.

THERE WILL BE ADAPTIVE VARIABLE SUSPENSION!

It will have two settings: Comfort and Sport.

Go here http://paris04.lexus-europe.com/show...ghts/index.asp and under THINK category choose the thrid bar from right and scroll text on the left side.

Also it says that it will be available with 6 spoke 17's or 5 spoke 18's wheels.

Now, did anyone notice that temperature numbers and clock above nav are lighten white in brochure pics and press realease pics but on pictures from autoshows it's lighten green?

Anyone verify whether this thing will have LED taillights? I don't get Lexus, they now will have them on the RX400h, yet the same model year RX330 DOESN'T get them??

A GS300 can barely break the tires loose now, who needs it AWD. I could see maybe on the 430.Plus the added weight and rotating mass mean .
. Lexus really disappointed on this one. This car sucks. Blah Nissan looks just don't cut it. The front and rear just look weak and the car blends in instead of stands out. Remove the Lexus emblems and it could be a Nissan, Honda , HYUNDIA BLAH BLAH BLAH
