Wind Whistle
I have a 1999 GS3 with 98,000 miles.
After taking the car to inspection here, I noticed that I has a wind whistle in the driver's side door upper back corner at speed. When I looked at the rubber flashing, I noticed that it had come outside of the channel.
I moved it back inside the channel, but the noise has not gone away, although it has lessened.
I'd like it as quiet as it was before. Am I being too sensitive? Ideas are appreciated.

Seems to be fairly common
I found the exact same thing on my '98 GS4 , and it happens whenever i put the driver's window down and back up. It doesn't help to retry it again and again to see if it seats right, but if I leave it up and wait a few hours, especially overnight, I can get back in the car (with the window up overnight) the next day and it seems as though the seal reseats itself into place. Then it's quiet again till I put the window down. Then the process of waiting overnight for a quiet doorframe begins again.
I have learned not to put the glass down, and if I manage to do that, I have a quiet GS. It sure is inconvenient at tollbooths etc. though, where I got used to just opening the door instead.
This is the ONLY gripe I have with my car. It does not seem to happen with the other windows, only the driver's side.
Unfortunately, I have an hour and 15 minute drive to the nearest Lexus dealer, and leaving the car with them is basically a 2 day logistical affair which I haven't had the time or desire to do yet, to get the seal replaced (if that would even work-i'm skeptical) so I just leave the window up pretty much.
I have read where others have experienced this also.

noise
I have the same problem but don't know what it is. So what I do is turn up the radio and tune it out. I was thinking that is it the rubber around the door. (I guess you would call it the seals)

Lexus Champion
Phillycat - I checked out your web site. I also have a Champagne GS, where did you get that Bronze tint?? I can't find anyone anywhere in the Bay Area that does it. I am willing to buy Bronze Tint, have it shipped to me and take it to the Tint Shhop for Professional installation.
Thanks...
Thanks...
