I know this thread is old but I was looking to finally reproduce this for myself. I also have a RMM front end. Any additional information would be a big help, also if you could answer a few questions that would be a great. What type, thickness, and dimensions are the metal and plastic pieces? I was also wondering if you had to do it all over again if there would be any improvements that you would have made. Any add information that you think would needed to reproduce this would be a huge help. Thanks

Yes, a new and improved version is on the way. I had to cut a notch out in the RMM bottom to clear the old plate. The new design is done, but not implemented. Still need to see if it will be strong enough.
I will leverage of a lot simpler design that I did on my wifes IS300 when we first got it. This new design will also fit more universal and can be easily modified to fit other front ends, such as the TTE lip. I tested that already as well.

I will probably not get to the revised version on my car for atleast another month or so. I'm a little busy with a bigger project under the hood.

i have one suggestion though
ground that rear corner a bit more rounded so in case if the wedge goes past those cement wheel stoppers in parking lots, u r able to back up and not get stuck

The skid plate was designed to protect you from steep driveways, speed bumps and such. To design one to protect from curbs would require something designed where it would stick out in front of the spoiler. Highly visible and probably highly ugly.

My homie RMMGS4 is at SEMA, so it might be awhile before he can answer that, guys. I know before EOS v5, he had his bumper cover repainted. So, he might already have something set up for when he gets back.

I'm here at SEMA with Glen and if you all know Glen, he always has a ton of different things going on.....welll.....he just found a couple new "projects" while here at SEMA......
I've been after him for awhile to come up with something for me as well as something "universal" for all to copy and use. Glen is awesome at this stuff, but he always has too much going on....maybe now that he's not planning meets anymore, he'll have a bit more time....hmmmmmm....

I was wondering if there was an update on this project yet. If not can anybody tell me the dimensions of the steel used? It looks do be about 1/4 thick rectangular tube (2 1/2 by 1 1/4) . I am in the process of reproducing this skid plate for myself. Any help in this matter would be a big help, Thanks.

I believe mcgyver24 was able to complete his set up , based on some of my suggestions.
It sure would be nice to see some pics.
It will be atleast a couple of months before I can clear out my family priorities and get back into modding and back on the forums on a regular basis. Hopefully a new set up from me by the beginning of summer.
