The mounting location was then dimpled to provide the support with a flat mounting surface.

The paint was grounded off and the supports were then welded along the full length of the brace.

Couple of questions for you:

1) Did you use 304 or 316L stainless steel for the square tubing to prevent rust in the future?
2) Did you more importantly use 304 or 316L stainless steel for the bolts for ease of removal when replacing delron pieces?
3) Why did you have to dimple the underside of the radiator cross mount support piece? Couldn't you just have cut off one side of the square tubing and grind to the shape of the cross mount support?

Who wants a set of these bad boys?
I want to gauge the interest before i start building these. I can easily build a few of these...i have all the tools..and no ....it will not take me 8 hours either...stainless steel construction all the way, although the local shops that would install these for you guys may not have the welding capability for ss...
I would do it the correct way however...lol...

Who has a drill press in their basement, welding machine in their garage, and a basement in their 4 car garage cause they own too many tools????

If the price is right, everyone who has something more than a stock bumper should need it.

I think there are 2 problems with a possible "kit": 1, this is no DIY installation for those of us who doesn't weld at home. I hope a muffler shop is good enough for welding these on. And 2, How are we going to get the delron aligned at the exact right angle and height? Everyone has different kits, and I don't know how that would be possible.

But I'll be needing a set when my new bumper gets painted.

what about, people who order the kit, specify what the lowest ground clearance is, from center bottom of the kit to the ground (for example, 5 inches). Then the delron piece would be cut to match that ground clearance (a formula needs to be developed) and shipped out. Sounds good?

actually i looked at rmmgs4's kit again. seems like he cut off the bottom of te bumper to get around skid plate thing. not sure if that helps to determine the height coz' it's a bit more universal?

The delrin pieces could contain a set of vertical holes so that it is adjustable and that would solve the solution.
OK..who wants a set?

depends on how much the material costs and time building the kits in mass quantities and etc. Cheaper the better of course, but you probably need to look at how much u need to spend building those, and etc. etc.

Yah like I said, as long as the price justifies for the material and labor without ripping us off, it's reasonable.

If the material costs 40 bucks and he wants 300, that's really unreasonable. If the kit costs 50 then that's REALLY reasonable
