Code P0141 2000 GS300
So my engine light came on and I had it taken to a dealer, a partsource and a friend of mine tested it with his OBDII tester. They all reported a P0141 code (actually my friends reported two P0141 codes )
Now, I have some conflicting information.
-The dealer said the code was the 'cheaper O2 sensor', which should be the downstream postcat sensor I assume.
-The partsource guy said it was Bank 1 Sensor 1, which according to my research is the precat sensor (more expensive).
-My friend's OBD sensor read Bank 1 Sensor 2, which is in line with the dealer.
Now, I have tested the sensor heater terminals on the Bank 1 Sensor 2 (Sensor that's near the passenger wheel) and it does not give continuity.
This thread states that it should be 234-4626.
But looking at the , some people say Bank 1 Sensor 1 confirming the partsource guy.
My issue is, what is the correct Denso part number for this? Is the code for B1S2, and why do people refer to B1S1 when that is a different code?

This happened to me in my 2001 GS430. Common among GS models. I ended up buying new cats and all 4 o2 sensors for my car. Yes that was $$$. But it's because I wanted to. Take my advice. Most likely it's an exhaust leak. Do this. Get all the o2 sensors off eBay. I went with Denso. But you can go whatever brand you can afford brother. And go your to your local auto car store and buy all the exhaust gaskets BEFORE and AFTER both cats. Should be relatively cheap. The sensors will be the only pricey purchase. Get the gaskets installed and have them tighten all that I'll down there nicely. You can even DIY. There's a very useful DIY in the beginning of the 2GS sticky section. Look it up. Read it. Observe the pictures. And it'll be alright. The CEL should turn off no prob. 9 outta 10 times they say it'll be the cats wrong, DON'T PANIC. Those cats are tough on these cars. Even deteriorated cats will last long and perform adequately. Take my advice bro. Don't sweat it. That's most likely what it is. Let us all know how it all turned out.
