Default Take out cat converters?

So the GS has 2 sets of cats, 4 total right? If i take 2 of them out, one on each pipe, would it get pretty loud? And would it help w power and or mpg at all?

In GS430 I had 3:
- 1 on each pipe before Y
- and third one, bigger after Y

I removed all, put "emulator" before lambda and it works without problems, no check engine light.

Is it lauder?
yes, but no so big sdifference

I do not see any performance/acceleration improvement and less fuel consumption.
