Default shaving wheel hub to change offsets?

So guys, im really sick of my 4x4 stance and i really want to lower my car. My front wheels have alot of "poke" so i was planning on getting my fenders slightly pulled. Long story short i found a wheel specialist thats local to me and told me he could change my offset by milling the hub and has done them countless of times for his customers and has never seen a problem. and also told me he just has to take a look at the wheels to make sure there is enough material to safely mill them and most of the time he doesnt go over 4mm. Well i took it there so he could look at it. the guy told me i have a great amount of material on my front hub compared to my rear and told me i can safely go over 4 mm and i would still have more material then my rears..

Is this something i should consider, or should i just stay away?

Why don't you lower the car first and then go from there? My wheels were poking before I lowered it but cambered in a decent amount afterwards. I didn't modify anything until afterwards.

Try that, or do as Thomas said and just get new wheels.

I might try that.. I actually dont even want to tuck tire just want close the gap.. When adjusting the stiffness on coils, could i set it to where it would never hit the fender?

But do you really, really enjoy these wheels enough to jump through multiple hoops for them?

having the Hubs milled down is an easy and safe process as long as they leave enough material to keep the wheel safe. I've seen it done numerous times, and it's usually not expensive.

Is he milling them in a CNC?

wow. i just think of way to many negative things coming out of this.
Why don't you look at some rca blocks with camber built in like the serialnines, or i saw a set of studios for like 200 on the classifieds.
and the rear get some toe links and adjust your camber eccentric bolt. i think that could be done less than 500.00 if you go through the classifeds ( i saw someone post toe links for 115)
thats just my two cents. and the lowering is a must, good luck

I didnt ask him.. Is CNC the proper machine to use? He wants 45$ per wheel

No problem here's the links man just to let you know with this setup its under 800$ not to bad at all to lower and fix you camber issues.
the front rca block will give you car -3 to -5 negative camber and lower it in the front by 35mm
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/2ge...front-rca.html
so hence your front wheel won't poke as much.
for the rear the toe links just give you added adjust-ability to your stock eccentric bolt.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/2ge...-toe-arms.html
but then there is this good deal for under 500.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/2ge...-for-sale.html
there's your lowering solution on a budget
hope it helps a little, but then again depending on how much the shaving costs
i think this is around 800.

Sheesh, if its $800 to do them, you're better off getting that $800, selling your current wheels and getting a proper set of wheels made for your car. $800 seems a bit steep though for just a shave.

What did they quote you?

I agree with TTurboPimp. I think more wheels are milled than people actually think. Lots of wheels are made with generic specs then they are drilled to fit a specific bolt pattern and milled for the offset. I have a set of Roderick wheels sitting at the shop with no bolt pattern and generic offset until I figure out what speca I really want.

I think the 800$ he is talking about is for the setup that he was suggesting for me.

I was quoted 45$ a wheel, and i only need 2
