Default Please help out: Dash has no lights on

Hello CL. I'm not new on here. Helped out a few members here and there in any way I can. So today I got in my car and when I turned it on, the dash where the speedometer is was al off. Nothing. Where it's suppose to be lit up green nothing lights up. The lights on the bottom don't either. The light sign doesn't light up and neither does the doors open sign. Nothing. I'm kind of in panic mode because I can't see how fast I'm driving or how much I got left. I'm all for a DIY. I attempted removing the plastic trim before the actual dash and it was a success. But I didn't go any further. I would like to find out exactly what it is I'm looking for to replace. Is this a sensor problem? A bulb problem? Please anyone, any advice, I'd deeply appreciate it. I hope I can get some good info on this from any member who's been thru this before. Any help is DEEPLY APPRECIATED.

I found this link on the Sticky thread.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...are-in-10.html

It shows a gentleman removing the cluster. But I do not know if he is fixing the exact problem I am having. Is it a bulb that lights up all that on the dash or is it a fuse under the hood? Could a fuse have burnt out and caused my dash to go dark? Or is it a bulb behind the actual dash? Please ANYONE I'm kind of panic mode and am looking for some type of relief. I would like to get started on fixing this. Just don't wanna move in the dark.

Ok although nobody has responded. Figure I'd post some news. I disconnected the positive then negative cables off the battery then reattached them. Everything turned on fine. So now I'm kinda confused. Is this an ongoing thing? Also I forgot to share. My positive terminal doesn't quite grip tight around the battery terminal all the way. Even when I tighten up the bolt all the way. It's slipped off the battery before slowly thru daily drive vibrations and I've had where the car goes completely dead. So I pushed down the terminal cable onto the battery to get a connection and the car always starts. Tomorrow I will get a soda can tab and fit it tightly between around the battery terminal and cable connector. To build a bridge conductor. Hopefully that will solve this dilemma and avoid that black out issue again. #GodBless everyone on CL tonight. Thank you for taking a look if you did.

Why don't you replace your battery terminal?

Based on your latest post, I'd make sure the battery terminal are cleans. Also make sure the battery has a charge within specs.

--- Thank you so much for your input sir! Resolved it. Thank God. The terminal was loose. It was slipping off the battery slowly while I drove. That's why it died on me unexpectedly.

--- What I actually did was get a soda can tab and set it in between the battery terminal and battery cord from the car. It helped tighten the terminal just right. And helped the connection stay steady. So far so good. Thank you for your input! #GodBless
