Default Anyone ever use Lucas oil stop leak or ATP at-205 re seal

Got oil Change at local lexus dealership knew I was leaking thought maybe it was oil filter gasket. Tuns out its a few Of the seals. Service rep brought me into the shop where my car was up on lift Lexus Mechanic shows me that it's very oily I mean everything main real seal small leak and something is leaking in the Front of the engine. Lexus mechanic recommends using LUCAS OIL stop leak. I have read good and bad reviews on this and I can't see putting 1 1/2 quarts of this to my oil. I have also heard of ATP at-205 re seal 8oz bottle and I have heard good reviews on this. Has anyone ever used these before need some feedback cause I don't want to have to take in the car and have an engine pulled and worked on for 2-3 days cause we know that 120/hr labor rate adds up fast.mi have had rear main seal replaced before and two others in the past but I really don't want to lay out 2-3k anymore to fix car. I have small puddles under car in the morning of course but not huge leaks. Once again wondering if anyone has used at-205 or Lucas oil stop leak to recondition there gaskets. 2000 gs300 mill silver 104400 miles.

People will tell you on here to "fix it right" but I understand not wanting to spend that kind of money on it. On my Es300, I used blue devil stop leak, it was $22 at the time, but it stopped my rear main seal leak and it didn't come back for another 30k miles. Even then at 240k mile, the leak wasn't terrible, and I wasn't going to fault the car. I'm with you with not wanting to add so much conditioner, which is why I went with blue devil which couldn't have been more than half a quart. It works for me when Bars stop leak didn't.

I have 2000 GS300 with 193,000 miles on it. I had a slow oil leak I had a mechanic look at and quoted me over $1000 to fix. Mine was a slow leak, never had to add oil between changes but did stain my garage floor. I used the lucas oil stop last year and completely stopped the leak for about 12 months. Recently took it in for another oil change and ever since it has been leaking again. No way I am dropping $1000, that a oil drip pan can fix. I may try another can of it soon though.

I didnt use the lucas oil stop leak, but i used the lucas PS pump stop leak and stopped my leak completely.. I used cheap ps stop leak and it didnt even work, dripped all out within a week, when i used lucas, i used about a quarter of the bottle and it stopped the leak. Lucas is some good stuff i would recommend you try it befor getting the seal fixed

Not yet, I have a small leak, gets worse in cold winter temperatures. I was going to use the Lucas oil stop leak but read ATP at 205 and Liqui Moly Motor Oil Saver is better so I ordered some Motor Oil Saver, got it today. I will try it and see what happens and report back. I am going to use their Engine Flush when I do my next oil change.

Wow it's cool to hear the Lucas love. I had a vw transmission that was slipping like crazy. I pulled the pan and there were chunks of metal. With my friends advice I filled it up with Lucas , I think heavy weight gear oil. Ran fine for 20k before I sold it. That was an 80's car though. It's good to hear the modern machines still like lucas

Appreciate info mine started to leak last month I live in newyork so cold weather probly did it I noticed it when I moved the car back in the drive way after I shoveled behind the car noticed oil in the snow. I ordered the at 205 from amazon gonna try it. So I'll let everyone know it says that I have to drive almost 5 hours so it works through the system. So I guess I'm gonna top off the oil and add this stuff then go on a road trip

Did the AT-205 end up working for you?

Never used Lucas AT oil stop leak but I have used Lucas power steering stop leak and it has worked very well. Stopped the power steering pump leaking in my gs400. I also used it in my 97 camry to stop a steering leak. Both have been good now for over a year. Had to use a couple of bottles before the leaks finally stopped.

It's a great idea if you're just going to beat the car into the ground then scrap it but need it running in the meantime. It's a terrible idea if you actually care about maintaining your car.

A week ago I used ATP AT-205 for the rear main seal on my 2002 ES300 which was leaking pretty bad (about a quart of oil every 600-700miles) and it's dry as bone now. No more leaks, oil smells, puddles, nothing. Granted, it's only been a week. So I'll give a long term review in the future.. but so far so good. Car has 182K

Another thumbs up for AT-205 from me, I have used it to seal many leaks and it REALLY works.

It works by softening seals that have gone hard
