I don't know this car well yet, but I know cars. Could be throttle position sensor, fuel related (fuel filter, bad gas). Honestly though, it could be anything. Hard to diagnose over the web. Maybe just take it to a tech!

yea none of that would cause these symptoms.

OP:

Get your ecu scanned, I'm willing to bet you're getting the p1121 and/or p1122 codes. This problem is 99% the APPS and not the TPS.

This is the APPS:

The next time it begins to jerk and doesnt want to quit, quickly unplug this unit and see how it drives. Dont be alarmed about having to floor it. Our TB's are electrical, flooring it opens the TB mechanically and gives you about ~10% throttle. I drove around flooring it for a few weeks as I waited for the part to come in. Unplugging the sensor will stop the computer from trying to figure out the position of the throttle and allow you to drive normally, well more consistently and actually safer cause the jerking can cause an accident. Anyways, sadly the part from the dealer is about $500 bucks, you can get the same OEM Lexus part on ebay for around $215. Its a dealer only part though :/
