Default !!!Question for the GTE swapped guys!!!

Especially the big power guys....how the hell do you keep track of your fuel level??? I have looked and no direct solution for me. When I got mine the previous owner said when it gets close to 200 miles, it's time to fill up, which sucks, bc all I have is BPU and TTC. Is there a solution I don't know about? Or some aftermarket part? Thank you in advance.

I assume you are talking about your fuel gauge level not reading right? If so, on mine, I always fill up when I get down around 1/4 tank. I can definitely go below that, but its not worth rolling the dice at that point. Im running E85 with close to 800rwhp, the last thing I want to do is run lean.

Yeah, it's not a big deal.....just think of 1/4 as E and go from there.

It can, but it won't fix the fuel level issue. More specifically, the fuel level issue is caused by the Aristo GTE ECU being mismatched to the GS gauge cluster. In the GS under normal operation the fuel level is based on fuel economy data calculated by the gauge cluster instead of measured directly from the tank as a means of preventing the needle from fluctuating in an "unrefined" fashion. The ECU sends fuel usage signals as a percentage value, so the gauge cluster is different for each model to account for the different injector sizes and cylinder counts. When they are mismatched in a swap, the gauge cluster doesn't calculate the actual fuel usage accurately, and generally varies proportionally to the injector size. This is why GTE swaps will run out of gas at 1/4 tank, as GE injectors are ~330 CC, while GTE are ~440 CC, so 25% more capacity leads to a 25% decrease in the fuel economy signal sent by the ECU. This can be remedied with an Aristo gauge cluster, but then your speed is in km/h.
